Permission to operate
Operating authorization is determined through the relevant jurisdiction and institutional model. Corporate registration alone is not a university license or degree-awarding authority.
Institutional quality review
Institutional accreditation evaluates an institution against the responsible accreditor’s standards. It is separate from state licensing. The institution should research legal authorization, eligibility and applicable scope before selecting a pathway.
Programmatic and international frameworks
Programmatic review addresses specified disciplines or academic units. International quality frameworks should be evaluated for their actual purpose and limits; they do not automatically confer US or Canadian legal operating powers.
Additional approvals
SEVP certification and federal financial aid eligibility have their own requirements and decisions. Accreditation should not be presented as automatically granting either. Consult current official sources and qualified professionals for the institution’s circumstances.
